Expanded offering of discrete pre-wired spring-loaded and target pins

Mill-Max has expanded its line of discrete pre-wired spring-loaded and target pins with 8-indent crimp termination. These factory-terminated pins are designed to streamline cable assembly, prototyping, test fixtures, and wire-to-board interconnect applications.

The new interconnect options reduce assembly time, improve termination consistency, and simplify wire-to-board and wire-to-component connections.

Addressing Critical Market Needs

These pre-wired spring-loaded and target pins support integration into wire harnesses, internal wiring for industrial, commercial, and consumer equipment, prototyping and test setups, field wiring, and wire-to-board or wire-to-component connections. By eliminating soldering and replacing inconsistent hand-crimping with factory-crimped terminations, they help simplify assembly while improving connection consistency.

Target markets include medical devices and equipment, prototyping and testing, IoT and smart devices, robotics, industrial automation, and control systems.

Key Product Features and Benefits

• Higher current capability. New 18 AWG versions support current ratings up to 12 amps and feature a longer .090” (2,29mm) stroke, making them well suited for power delivery applications, charging systems, battery interfaces and motor connections.
• Standard, high-force and low-force options. The 909 series offer standard and high-force spring configurations, while the new 908 series introduce a low-force option for applications involving delicate mating surfaces, lightweight docking mechanisms and thin-wall enclosures.
• Flexible assembly and integration. Open-ended lead wires can be soldered, crimped, spliced or connected to terminal blocks, supporting a wide range of integration methods. The pins are especially useful when adapting cables and connectors to existing equipment or when building custom test and development systems.
• Compatibility with existing designs. The new 908 and 909 spring-loaded pins mate with the new 903 target pins as well as the existing 819 series pre-wired target contacts, allowing designers to leverage established Mill-Max products within new applications.
