Pre-Wired Crimp Termination Cable Assemblies
Mill-Max now offers pre-wired discrete pins as well as pre-wired connector assemblies. These small cable assemblies are crimped with our screw machined products to create a ready-made assembly. The UL1007 wire consists of 8” or 12” lengths with black or red PVC insulation and 7/32 stranding. Each contact is pre-crimped using an 8-point crimp tool ensuring proper retention is attained.

Pre-Wired Discrete (No Insulator) Spring-Loaded and Mating Target Cable Assemblies
These pre-wired solutions allow designers the freedom to arrange the pins to fit specific grid patterns and arrays without the need for special crimpers and labor-intensive assembly processes. The new pre-crimped spring-loaded, and pre-crimped target contacts are secured with 24 AWG stranded wires. When installing into insulators or boards, the wire is fed through the drilled hole, pulled through until the press-fit feature, and then pressed home on the shoulder to anchor the pin. The precision machined target contact and spring-loaded pins also include a positive stop to prevent pins from becoming dislodged if a pull force is applied to the wires after installation. The spring-loaded pins are rated for a maximum current of 6.5 amps (5.2 amps, de-rated); 20 milliohms max contact resistance; 60 grams of force at half stroke; .055” (1.4 mm) max travel and a mechanical life of up to 1 million cycles.
Pre-Wired Spring-Loaded Connectors and Mating Target Cable Assemblies
Mill-Max has combined the pre-wired spring-loaded pins and target contacts with single and double row insulators to offer complete pre-wired connectors. Both spring-loaded and target connectors are available in 2-20 positions on .100” [2.54mm] pitch and are intended for a host of wire termination applications. These complete connectors combine the precision machined and pre-wired spring-loaded pin or target contact with a connector housing molded from high-temperature thermoplastic making it an excellent choice for battery charging, docking stations, quick connect and testing purposes. |
