METAL FINISHING TECHNICIAN

Metal Finishing Technicians use machinery or manual means to clean, de-grease, and remove chips or burrs created by the stamping/cutting/punching process from manufactured parts. This then allows for the uniform application of a finishing material such as precious metals like gold and silver. Metal Finishing Technicians should be independent self-starters who work well in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable using tools and machinery, have great attention to detail, and are able to read sketches and blueprints. They must execute quality work under strict deadlines, have good manual dexterity, be able to adapt to process changes, and perform some troubleshooting and quality control. This is a great entry-level position with many opportunities for transfer/advancement into related manufacturing departments once the initial skills are mastered.

CNC PROGRAMMER

We currently have an opening for a CNC Programmer position in our Tool Room. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy a diverse workload this is an excellent opportunity for you.   

Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate a battery of CNC machines.
  • Maintain scrap and production rates at an acceptable level.

PRODUCTION MACHINIST, ALL SHIFTS

We currently have several full-time Production Machinist opportunities to join our dynamic group in various departments on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

Production machinists use machinery to create and assemble machined pin connectors used in the electronics industry. Production machinists are generally assigned to one or more machines and expected to meet a quota production. They must always monitor their machines to ensure that they are working correctly; when they are not, troubleshooting may be necessary. Reading blueprints and shop drawings is an essential part of the position and basic arithmetic skills are necessary in order to properly measure items needed in production. Much of the work is done independently, so it is important to be self-driven. Attention to detail is also important, as the goods produced must be assessed for quality. If goods are not coming out as they should, the machinist should evaluate the situation to determine what is wrong.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Requirements:
  • Analyze and modify code to support existing applications

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments. Job duties include tracking inventory, packing and weighing items, printing shipping labels and ensuring that all items are packed, labeled and recorded appropriately in preparation for transport. Their duties include unloading delivery trucks and checking incoming shipments against product invoices, organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests and notifying management personnel when they don’t have enough of a particular product to fulfill orders. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch and stand throughout your 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Keep track of shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Track inventory counts and check for damages or discrepancies
  • Properly account for the location of incoming goods
  • Assure no damaged items are sent or received
  • Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that products in each delivery match the packing list
  • Ensure that proucts in each delivery match the packing list
  • Update the product inventory as products are received and added to inventory
  • Package products for return to vendors and fill our any necessary paperwork

APPRENTICESHIP (MACHINIST/TOOL MAKER, TOOL AND DIE MAKER, CNC PROGRAMMER)

We are currently seeking applicants for our new apprenticeship program located in Oyster Bay, NY. This 18-month program offers hands-on paid training for candidates to gain the skills necessary to operate and repair manufacturing equipment. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, TOOL ROOM DEPARTMENT

Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic interconnect components, has an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer within our Tool Room located in Oyster Bay, NY.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Places emphasis on the design of control hardware and software for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Generates procedures and documents; maintains electrical systems and its firmware.
  • Will be involved with custom designed equipment, the identification of process concepts, the creation of models and simulations, functional analysis, design systems & subsystems, and the development of schematics and software diagrams.
  • Plans and tracks electrical engineering projects, working with other engineering disciplines, and transitioning prototype designs to manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in all areas of electrical systems, computer and software development, circuit board design and testing of such is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to timely completion with close attention to quality and detail.
  • Must be creative and flexible, as well as skilled at problem solving and conceptual thinking.
